| About |
MUTINYZINE has been up and running since march of 2006. It's a webzine focusing on alternative music and the cultures around it. We try to do interesting interviews with independent bands, artists and labels that we like and who we think deserves the attention. Nowadays, "music" is all about sales, "good looks" and getting famous as fast as possible, and artists and labels that actually have something real and important to offer doesn't exactly make the headlines. Therefore, we feel that fanzines of all sorts are more important than ever. MUTINYZINE does not claim to be the best zine in the world, in fact we're not anywhere near the best zines that are out there. However, we are proud to play at least a part in the independent music scene. As long as our readers keep sending us the awesome feedback we've been receiving so far, we'll keep this up and going.
Thanks for reading what we write! /Christer Davidsson

| FAQ |
Q: I would like to write for MUTINYZINE. Do you want my help?
A: Of course! We need all the help we can get. If you want to write something, just get in touch through our contact-page and we'll get it all sorted out.
Q: I have some music that I would like you to review. How should I submit it?
A: Physical copies of records and demos should be sent to the address you'll find on our contact-page. We prefer physical records and tapes since it gives the release a "full-package-feel". Sure, we can review digital submissions but sending a real record will most likely give you an extra-point.
Q: Do you review everything that is sent to you?
A: On the old site I did say that everything that was sent in would get reviewed. However, the response turned out to be way bigger than I thought and the quantity of promotional records sent in was (and still is) crazy. Keep in mind that MUTINYZINE is basically run by just one person which makes it more or less impossible to review all records. I listen to everything but I can't write about all of it, sorry.
Q: I've seen banner-ads on the site. Would you put up a banner for my band/label on MUTINYZINE?
A: Of course! Send a link to whatever you're up to and I'll check it out. If I like it, I'll post a banner for you and I'll expect you to do the same for MUTINYZINE.
Q: Can MUTINYZINE be found on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc?
A: There is a MySpace profile available. However, it's not always the best place to check for updates. The MySpace account is basically used for networking and is not to be viewed as an official site. Feel free to add MUTINYZINE to your friends and shoot us info about your band or label. It's a good way for me to stay updated and in touch with people. I use MySpace a lot for tracking down cool bands etc. Hit me up if you feel like it. http://www.myspace.com/mutinyzine
MUTINYZINE is not on Facebook and not on Twitter. I don't really see a point in "twittering" or "tweeting" about what happens on the site. Put this page in your bookmarks, join the newsletter and subscribe to the RSS news feed. You'll never miss an update.
Q: What is BOP Design and Shouting Street?
A: Those are my other two projects. BOP Design, or Bird Of Prey Design, is my graphic design "company". I do poster designs, record cover designs and layouts, print design, websites, banners etc. etc. Shouting Street Audio Cassettes is my tape-label. This is a new thing that I just started up in September 2009. Visit the links-section if you wanna check my stuff out.
