Hey Daniel, great to meet you! Tell us a little bit about your band, TIME AGAIN.Hmmm, where to start. Well we're a punk band. We play punk... Ha ha ha, can you repeat the question?
Ha ha, lets move on... To date, you've released an EP on Rancid Records and a full-length on Hellcat Records and they both are amazing albums. Rumor has it that there is a new album in the works... what can you tell us about it?
Yes! We just finished it, the title for it is "Outnumbered" and its due out in january of 2008, I can't fucking wait. We recorded it in 4 days and I can't believe how well it turned out. I am super proud of it.
Speaking of record labels, you recently started up your own, Drop-Out Records. What made you decide to start up your own label? How is it going so far?
Well it kind of just happened, it wasn't planned at all. Some friends of mine couldn't find a deal so I figured what the fuck, I will help them out so that's how it was born. Our first band is Trashed Idols so check them out, they're great.
There's no question that TIME AGAIN is a band that is full of passion and drive. Musically, who has influenced you and helped you get to where you are today?
So many people, the obvious answer is Tim Armstrong of Rancid, he is like a big brother to me and has helped us out more than I could ever express in words. Other than that a lot of it is just friends and family and people we meet on tour and at home. Everybody inspires us a little. Its not one specific person but more as everybody has their part.
Currently you guys are on one very long tour. How has it been so far? What has been your most memorable set? Any places that you wished you could tour?
Well we've been on thr road pretty much non stop for about 15 months now and its been crazy. Just to be able to go all around and meet so many people. It still trips me out that we get to tour Europe and Canada and anywhere at all... Playing punk. It's fuckin amazing. I am so grateful and it's still not sunk in yet.
Every time I visit your MySpace page, I notice that there is always a truckload of positive comments from fans. What do you think it is about TIME AGAIN that people just can't get enough of?
Well I can't be sure but one thing we always try to do is respond to as many people we can and always hang out with people at our shows, just so we can let them know how much they mean to us. It might sound cheesy but most of our fans aren't even fans to us, they have really become like family. And it's cool for us I think too cuz' we got the raddest most amazing "fans" in the world, so thank you to all the people that have checked us out and supported, it means the world to us.
Besides the band and the record label you also have a recording studio, RIOT RIOT STUDIOS. Can you tell us more about it? How do you find the time for all of this?
Ha ha, yeah, we just officially opened our doors a few weeks ago and it's awesome. It's something that I've always wanted to do and when you ask how I do so much its easy, cuz for me its not work, I fucking love this shit, there is nothing else I would rather do.
Do you currently have any other projects on the go? If given the chance what is one thing musically that you would love to do that you haven't yet?
I wanna do everything, and I hope someday I get to, but there isn't really one thing that comes to mind. I am super happy with where I am at right now and I just wanna take things one step at a time and see what happens.
Just a few more questions...obviously you never can never tell what's going to happen in the future, but where do you see TIME AGAIN down the road?
Well I just wanna be able to keep doing this down the road, so I just hope Time Again can keep making records and touring for a long time. Then I'll be a happy person.
