Reviews | June 2009 | In The Hollows "S/T" 7"

The latest release from Brooklyn, NY's Mightier Than Sword Records comes from a new band called In The Hollows. Formed about a year back by members of more well known acts such as Pulling Teeth, Ruiner and Champion this new 5-piece band sounds like they mean business. The sound is fierce, basic, rough and I like it a whole lot. Going through the lyrics the band doesn't exactly have a very positive viewpoint on things but listening to the record kinda gets me in a good mood anyway. It's kind of like putting on a record with the Hope Conspiracy, there's not much hope but it sure as hell makes you feel great.
Great debut 7" from a really cool band and a great signing by a really cool label. Support MTS Records and pick this one up sooner than later.
