Side one of this 7-inch starts off with Bullet Treatment's "The Bride and the Wolf". A great fast furious hardcore tune that feels like a well-aimed punch between the eyes. I haven't been listening to Bullet Treatment before but I tend to like it. There's a great bit of anger on this side of the split and it would work perfectly as a soundtrack for times when you're really really pissed off. Not bad at all. I need to check up on this band's previous stuff. Then what about side B?
It's Casual, also from California, play fuzzy hard punk'n'roll which makes me think of a mix of Motorhead and Unsane with an old-school punk touch. Not nearly as good as Bullet Treatment if you ask me, but it's pretty ok. It's just a little bit too dirty for my taste. Their second song "Let It Out" is better than their first and gives the band an extra point, but over all Bullet Treatment wins.
