Reviews | March 2008 | Nobunny "Love Visions"

Nobunny is a guy in a rabbit mask playing lo-fi garage rock/pop with a retro feel to it. How does that sound? Yeah, it's kinda fun, but only for a little while. Sure, the guy look funny on the cover but three or four songs into "Love Visions" I've pretty much had it. The Ramones sounding "Not That Good" is a good song but not cool enough to make me change my mind. Garage is not for me.
Stevo at 1-2-3-4-Go! writes in the press note that: "if you aren't instantly in love the second this hits your stereo [...] I'm afraid there isn't a human heart in your chest". Well, as much as I hate to admit it, I guess I have no heart.
However, I'm sure a lot of people will find this album interesting. If you like sloppy, slamming retro pop then Nobunny is your guy.
