I accidently stumbled upon a stream of Wolvhammer's debut "Blackmarketeers of World War III" today as I was clicking my way around the interweb. To be completely honest I probably would'nt have paid much attention to this if it wasn't for the super good looking artwork. I usually don't care much for black metal oriented bands, but curious about the art I tried to find some more info and found a full stream of the album at brooklynvegan.com. Not expecting very much I hit play and got blown off the couch immidiately.
An amazing debut album, "Black Marketeers of World War III" is a blend of raw black metal, crusty hardcore punk and doom, complete with tons of darkness and haunting harsh vocals. If you're into dark music at all, go stream this right now. It's an instant kick in the guts and you're gonna love it.
Oh yeah, the artwork. It was done by Stavros Giannopoulos from The Atlas Moth. Looks killer, doesn't it?
